RTW marine engineering was founded to meet the ever-growing needs for highly qualified marine mechanical engineers capable of meeting our customer's requirements. RTW has collectively over sixty years experience within the marine engineering industry, giving our customers a wealth of experience to call upon.

All our engineers have completed a four-year apprenticeship to city and guilds standards either in the marine or automotive industry. Customers often ask why automotive engineers? The answer is simple, a lot of small marine engines up to 10 litre are marinized truck engines i.e. Ford, Volvo, Fiat, Scania, Man and Cummins to name but a few. This is why experienced HGV engineers have so much to offer the marine industries.

RTW has honed all this expertise to cater for a large range of smooth water vessels ranging from tugs, work boats, rope runners, motorised barges, dredgers, ferries, fishing boats and yachts both small privately owned to commercial square riggers up to a gross weight of 1000 tons.

RTW also has access to two small dry docks and can offer crainage, slipping and boat storage to your requirements.
